This is another recipes I’ve had for years and don’t remember where it came from. It’s a great recipe and makes for a very tasty cookie. It’s also a great way to use up eggnog if you have some extra hanging out in your fridge. I’d much rather make these cookies than drink the eggnog myself.

1 1/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup butter
1/2 cup eggnog
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 egg yolks
1 tsp ground nutmeg
2 1/4 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Preheat over to 300°F.

Combine flour, baking powder, and spices. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggnog, vanilla, and egg yolks; beat until smooth. Add flour and mix until just combined – don’t overmix.

Drop by teasspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Sprinkly lightly with nutmeg. Bake for 18-22 minutes or until the bottoms turn light brown. Remove from cookie sheet and place on a wire rack to cool.
